Expansion is not possible without an external force. Infinite space claims constant expansion. It isn't possible.

@Reach41 Let me see if I get this right. You claim to be a physicist but don't recognize my statements about infinite space and expansion of the cosmos as a fact. Is that a correct statement? Now, how this should play out is that you should demonstrate your understanding of physics by proving me wrong, right?
3
nope
2
@Reach41 Let's focus on my statement. What is wrong about my comment on expansion and infinity? It doesn't matter what your parroting skills might be. All that matters are facts.
2
No, it isn't expanding.
1
nope
1
@phk2000 Yeah, that space outside space is called heaven and it isn't physical.
1
@phk2000 Space is physical. That's why physics is used to measure it.
1
@phk2000 Space is physical and a vacuum is measurable. Get out your tire gauge and check the pressure of space.
1
@phk2000 If you cannot measure space, then you cannot claim the universe is expanding.
1
@phk2000 If you claim the universe is infinite, what you are actually claiming is constant expansion. Whether you accept big bang postulate or infinite space, you are making the claim of constant expansion. Infinite space is not possible, nor is constant expansion. Expansion requires an external force. No internal mechanism can drive expansion.
1
@phk2000 You don't understand your own claim.
1
@phk2000 I comprehend infinite space perfectly. You don't comprehend what you are claiming.
1
@phk2000 This is physics, not wishful thinking.
1
@phk2000 What pressure did you get with your tire gauge?
1
@phk2000 Infinite means something keeps going and going and going. How does something do that? By creation of new space by expansion. You see how simple physics can be?
1
@phk2000 Now, the claim of infinite space is ludicrous. Expansion requires an external force. It's possible there is an entity outside the cosmos that creates space, not only possible, but mandatory. Is it possible for an entity to be so powerful that it creates anything equal to or greater than itself? No. Not even the entity outside the cosmos claims to be infinite. It just claims to be all there is and the author of all that exists.
1
@phk2000 What do you know offhand that is infinite?
1
@phk2000 Look, I'm not saying there is not a definition for infinite. What I am saying is infinite space is not possible.
1
@phk2000 No, infinite literally isn't possible physically. Infinite is possible spiritually in the endless life, which exists in the Creator.
1
@phk2000 Infinite space requires constant expansion. Give me a physical mechanism which could possibly drive expansion. You are the one claiming heaven isn't possible. It's your claim. Prove it!
1
@phk2000 God's power is unlimited. Space is dependent on the Creator. God is all there is. Everything exists in Him. Could you call that infinite? Yes, but not spatially.
1
@phk2000 Could God make a cosmos that constantly expands? Yes, but it requires a non-physical realm in which to expand. You cannot claim expansion if there is more space. Space is required for matter to exist. Matter exists because of the Creator. The only way the star system exists and could expand is by the Creator. Space had to be created in order for anything to exist. We know there is a non-physical realm because of expansion. The CMB tells us expansion occurred. The equality of the CMB tells us space is finite and non-expanding. An outside force effected the expansion. The cosmos lacks creative power. Energy is limited.
1
@phk2000 God's power is infinite. God doesn't claim to exist in physical space. Physical space exists in heaven. All physical things are held in God's hand. God looks at the cosmos and sees a finite spherical space. The cosmos is infinitesimally small to God. It inhabits a small void in the kingdom of God.
1
@phk2000 I am not a physicist. I just know that infinite space requires constant expansion. It's your claim. You should understand what you are claiming; otherwise, you shouldn't make the claim. You claim there is no heaven, a non-physical realm. You made the claim. You have to be able to support the claim. Even physics tells us expansion has occurred. Expansion can only occur in a non-physical realm; otherwise, the claim of expansion is moot.
1
@phk2000 I say the cosmos is spherical because God seems to have an affinity for spheres. It could be a cube though. The heavenly city, New Jerusalem, is described as a cube
1
@phk2000 Yes, we have almost the same idea; but, I'm relegating existence to the non-physical while you are making it physical because space is physical. The foundations of the cosmos are supernatural. 1. The perfect vacuum 2. The formation of physical elements out of nothing or invisible processes. A gas is invisible but becomes visible with volume and pressure. 3. Expansion is supernatural. 4. The CMB is supernatural. 5. The CMB has more light energy than the matter in the universe could produce.
1
@phk2000 I Am, THAT, I Am.
1
@Reach41 Yeah
1
It isn't.
1
I disagree.
1
@Reach41 I don't assume. I state facts. My statement refutes the big bang.
1
@Reach41 No, what I believe is fact, unless you can prove otherwise?
1
@Reach41 I don't have to have a degree in astrophysics. I just have to be right and demonstrate it by physics. If you think being a highly evolved parrot in any way demonstrates your intelligence, stay out of the field of physics.
1
@Reach41 I took Astronomy, probably the easiest course I have ever taken. You won't find any astronomer who will refute what I have to say about cosmology.
1
@Reach41 The fact you don't recognize my statements as fact only highlights your ignorance about cosmology. If you repeat what I say about cosmology, you are going to be light years ahead of current thought in the field. Perhaps you would like to make a stab at demonstrating my lack of understanding about cosmology? Or would you rather remain content with parroting peer reviewed papers and feigning intelligence?
1
@Reach41 Would you like to take a stab at proving me wrong or do you feel content with wallowing in your Dunning Kruger state?
1
@Reach41 I took Astronomy in college as a prerequisite for an AS to support my HVACR career. Physics is physics, bud! Don't try to diminish the quality of the fundamentals of Astrophysics to grade level.
1
@Reach41 I have no interest in Astrophysics. Nevertheless, before you make claims that someone has no idea what they are talking about, you need to actually demonstrate their error, not just make blanket statements like, "It's not my field and clearly not yours either."
1
@Reach41 I have a high school diploma. Are you going to demonstrate my error or are you going continue with your blind faith in peer reviewed papers?
1
@Reach41 I would appreciate it if you would do some critical thinking at this point. Demonstrate my error.
1
@sgholt Prove it!
1
@JohnnyNiteTrain Yes, physics doesn't lie, buddy! It's called physical law.
1
@yonkel0 Nope. I don't know much about that.
1
fudgeholeJenkins I doubt every astrophysicist believes in the big bang; but, if they do, then they are all wrong. Sorry!
1
@petehuckleberry5068 Yep! The big bang is a theistic postulate as it is not supported by physics. However, the big bang is also anti-Biblical; therefore, it's a worthless scientific postulate relegated to the science fiction genre of the library. The big bang is a god whom our fathers did not know.
1
@Vicus_of_Utrecht How could anything. be infinite if it didn't keep going and going? It would have to constantly create space to be immeasurable. I took one Astronomy course and it made me smarter than you? It must have been an excellent course and professor I guess then, Huh!
