  3. funny enough the russians should be trained to fight with the tanks buttoned up since that's the soviet tactic. the idea is you've got enough friends to cover your butt. Nato tanks by comparison are all about situational awareness and have the hatches open until they absolutely can't

  4. even before MILES training the US did massive wargames where referees basically declared who did what in a very similar system before there were these sort of systems were used to augment them. The Dirty Dozen has a great bit of how that sort of process works
