  5. the 737's height (or lack of) has been its achilies heel for decades. Its a 1960s design, engineered for low bypass turbine engines and airports that use airstairs instead of terminals. They can't extend the landing gear without basically redesigning the entire plane so they've avoided doing that.

  7. the way to build low cost housing is a standardized design, densely constructed on a large enough scale to be affordable. most of the 'low cost' housing projects announced in my city have been ~20% or less of the project's total units, and efforts to build low cost housing in the towns around have been killed by NIMBYs who think it'll devalue their property

  9. Nope nope nope, in ohio we made sure the requirement to get a CCW permit is buy a gun. No classes required now. God bless our terrible legislature because nobody else will.
