  1.  @scoutmaster33  microchips would be impossible with 1940s era tech, however things like stand alone transistors would be easy to replicate especially since ww2 was pretty much the sole reason why it wasn't created earlier

  2. the US would never have bothered with the northern fleet anyways just like real life. it wasn't worth the expense for islands that were barely habitable
