  1. falcon heavy's core apparently is much more complicated and thus a unique booster unlike the goal of being able to take production falcon 9s and modify it slightly to work as a core booster. BFR isn't anywhere near on track to replace it though either. The payload gains from heavy vs regular falcon 9 just don't make up the cost increase
