  1. neat but not going to ever power a rocket or probably a plane but could have some practical effects in generating hotter combustion environments to increase fuel efficiency. you'd be looking at a completely re-invented jet engine just to integrate the technology into what we have today, and that's just working on the combustion segment not the compression segment of the engine
