  7. I find the recycling explanation a bit disengenuous. I've worked at the kind of place that shreds batteries for recycling, they won't be able to 'process' this the way musk wants, they want to be able to grind the battery and put it into a bulk pile and sell that to a refiner. There's no float, certainly no liquid nitrogen. These places are only a little more sophisticated than scrap yards. They already have issues with recycling NMH batteries which have a lot of plastic, fiberglass, and junk inside them.
