  2. not sure what lambo was smoking, a company I used to work for had chop fill, molded carbon fiber parts in the late 1990s. The problem isn't strictly the carbon fiber, the resin system is the bigger problem. there are resins that can survive the engine but the long term issue is oxidation. the biggest issue is most if not all of the high performance resins are highly controlled technology that has very strict export licensing conditions
