  4. I have a question: at 1:00 you say that detonating the nuke will make Great Britain uninhabitable. But the largest nuclear weapon, the Tsar Bomb, was detonated on an island called Novaya Zemlya and people still live there. the local wildlife hasn't died out. So how come a nuke near the British isles will be more damaging than the largest nuclear bomb ever designed?

  5. draining the sea and damming it off are very different ideas. Damming the Mediterranean would work to protect the coastline... draining the north sea, however, would be too much.

  6. @Aaron Giles no. Because that would require pumping out all the salt water, which kills off the local flora and fauna. And nobody is going to agree to that loss, from fisheries to tourism.
