@stephenkling9976 That is why the proper - and ONLY - treatment for gender dysphoria is the same as with any body dysmorphia (like anorexia)... psychological therapy. You NEVER affirm a psychological illness! You NEVER tell somebody with anorexia that they are fat and you should NEVER tell somebody with gender dysphoria that they are not the sex they really are.

Jordan Peterson has talked about Social Contagion and said that it has been thoroughly studied and documented for over 300 years. It works exactly like a virus and comes in waves when one "prominent" person becomes "infected", then it spreads exponentially until it reaches a peak, then it dies down and becomes dormant. This has happened many times throughout history with mental illness such as anorexia, gender dysphoria and other illnesses. Because of social media - mainly tiktok - gender dysphoria is spreading like wildfire... and social contagion mainly affects very young females. This is why the 5000% increase in this illness over the past few years has been almost exclusively in young females... this illness less than a fraction of 1% of people and traditionally it was gay men and very rarely if ever did it affect females. But now they make up the majority. Sadly it's the more aggressive males who are pushing themselves on society (in sports and business, though young females are now making up more and more of the requests for surgery because of the social contagion). How often do we hear of biological women trying to compete in men's sports or wanting to take over men's clubs etc? Almost never. It's the "trans" males trying to conquer female society almost exclusively. Why? Because they can.
