  1. Weird. Trump chickened out 2x now after Canada threatened to tariff back (and other things)... yet these channels never really talk about that. In this case Ford got hold of people in the US govt and they are going to negotiate. The propaganda down in the US right now is next level. I mean, why were there no videos of the Canadian hockey team coming down to the US last month and beating the US like a rented mule in the championships?

  2. BINGO! This was the most cogent explanation of what's going on here with the US propaganda and "hype" of being a bully (which will cost its consumers dearly). It's fine for Trump to want to bring back jobs to the US etc, but the way he's behaving on a public stage when speaking to/about other countries is frankly childish. I like what he's doing socially down there internally, but man, act a little more respectful, especially of your biggest ally and friend. LIke you I was pulling for Trump to win down there and was happy for them. Then he turned around and started acting like this and disrespecting Canada and now I'm pretty turned off by it all. He's also helping the Libs chances of getting back into power in Canada.

  4.  @edwarddickson7731  Just like the tariffs are going to be paid by US consumers. It's not Trump's money, but the tariffs will make his government a lot of it (while consumers pay a lot more for goods and necessities).

  7. No, that's just a Canadian. Canadian conservatives are VERY liberal by US standards. Most of my friends in Canada are on the conservative side of things, but most think Trump and Vance are clowns. They think the gender stuff and mass migration are very bad, but generally won't speak up about it, and are also mostly liberal when it comes to things like social programs and multiculturalism.
