Dr Phillips! I love your content and I am using most of your system: xylitol after meals and throughout the day and before bed; Crest Cavity Protection toothpaste; Ultradex is on the way. I haven't got ACT yet because I've heard it can stain teeth in 3% of users. If somebody has a relatively healthy mouth (I've never had a cavity in 40 years of life, no flossing either) what are the odds of teeth staining? I have the 1x per week opti-rinse which is cheaper than ACT but it also has the CPC that can potentially cause staining. I know this isn't ideal because I think you said glycerin is not good to have in dental products. I've never worried about my teeth, don't floss (but I only drink water and milk - no sodas, tea or coffee except maybe a couple times a year), visit the dentist maybe 1x every 4 years, and 0 cavities but I want the healthiest teeth for as long as possible as I feel they are the most important part of an attractive face.

@hnia0 It varies. I eat 3x a day, usually protein ice cream (basically a protein shake made with whey and berries and ice and frozen), then another meal with lots of protein (lately it's been processed food due to prices skyrocketing), and a final meal with protein (shake, or maybe fish). Most of my adult life I've only eaten 1 or maybe 2 meals a day max near the end of the day. I think because I ate so infrequently that helped my teeth. Though, as a kid, we always ate 3 square meals a day - but no snacking and never any sodas.

Good points. In Canada we have health care but dentistry is not covered.

@hnia0 I don' t think so . I just started lately due to the fact I weight lift and whole protein is expensive. I think it's the fact that I never drink soda (or anything other than water or milk) and for most of my adult life I only eat 1 or 2 meals per day (started in college when I was poor). Also, I think my mouth produces a lot of saliva because I know most of my life when I talk to people, I've been hyper aware of this and try not to "spit" on other people. LOL. After every meal I've always drank water to rinse out my mouth as I hate the feeling of having anything on my teeth. I'm now adding xylitol to my regime as I do get more dry mouth now at night and I'm getting Closys and the toothpaste Dr Ellie recommends. I'm not sure about ACT though as it contains CPC which can cause staining in about 3% of people.

@WestwardTheWomen-bestmovieever I just buy whatever is cheapest. I actually am type A. LOL. I think I just produce a lot of saliva naturally.
