  6.  @sandrajohnston1785  I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when her mother met the Queen. There would be an ashtray full of stubs on the coffee table. Which she'd put her feet up on. I hope she wore her best leggings. On the floor by the side of her chair there would be a whiskey decanter. And she's telling rude jokes. Then when she left she would fill a Pound land carrier bag from the buffet. 😂

  8. My apologies but I must take exception to your comment. You seem to be implying that Jackanory was prone to telling tall tales. But myself,and many more besides found those stories more believable than any statement the Royal press office releases. We'll say nothing more about it. Least said soonest mended. 😂👏💐

  11.  @sandrajohnston1785  The Royal family (I'm guessing) are treading carefully. With the press ready to grasp at even a rumour and run with it. I think cooler heads should prevail. Remember that Diana was the darling of the press. But they needed little encouragement to turn on her. And the tragedy that turned into. No family would appreciate being endlessly under the microscope. But as I said I'm guessing.
