OK, Let me see is I can explain how AI can replace some workers. You, yourself, If I understand have a company, say X widgets. Let’s start with customer service. You sell globally. You have people calling in all the time with all kinds of question, maintenance issues and generally how to do stuff. Let's say you have a global operation with a 5 member per shift for a total of fifteen people. You get a business Chatbot for your Customer Service Operation.
After installation, and surety that the system operates correctly, you can cut two shift plus 1 or 2 from the 1st shift. Why? A Chatbot is going to do everything all those people did and answer questions, take information on maintenance issues or problems. With AI, depending on the type and level of the system you purchase, you can have an Avatar, that realistic human type person that talks to the customer with the information they are looking for.
Tha AI is able to do this because all of the company data, schematics, company data, and marketing information is in a database system within the Chatbot. In other the Chatbot know everything about your company and can answer any question a human can answer in milliseconds response.
Answer can look like text messages or it can; look like and avatar speaking to the person of the department responsible for contacting you.
In my opinion, depnding on what those people did, you do not have lay them off or fire them. You can take the increased efficiency and keep the people. There shouldn’t be any doubt you could increase your brand name by having AI and NOT firing everyone because you are making more revenue.
