Respectfully, I believe this video is fraudulent. No mention of what the engineer checked. What is the story on car fire in the Chinese cars from the batteries? Not a word on that from the report or the engineers. We know the Chinese do it well in the upper echelon, but when you move downward to pretty cars, sold cheap there will be better chances of seeing the shoddy car making that they are known for in China.
If Countries allow for China to cheat, and care they are undermining the automotive economies of the nation's they are selling to, then the country should consider it a national security issue and take appropriate actions to protect it industries.
As an example, China has opened a car assembly in Mexico, huge, in order to make massive sales into the US. Trump said that won't that he will slap 100% tariffs on those cars, recently has back off to 25%, however I am sure Trump will not allow China to destroy the American automotive industry, unless, the Chinese opens there engineering plans and show America how the cars are made so cheaply, and additionally, they agree to price point regarding elemental material used to make batteries, so they do not have such a huge advantage.
If China does want what even competition we will bar them from selling their cars in America. They should not pout and complain as they usually do when they refuse to be professional neighbor on a global scale. If they won't play fair with America, America can act likewise.
