  1. A $6.25M judgment is an indication the officers did something wrong. Now, since the incident, they have been promoted. The chief of police should be removed forthwith. All cadre in the chain of the officers accused of the violation should be demoted for lack of competence in training subordinates. These people cannot be allowed to cost the city that amount of loss without them suffering the repercussion. They cannot be allowed to be given the opportunity to make the mistake again. Given these constitutional violator's promotions gives a clear message civil rights are nothing and constitutional rights mean nothing, and we know that is not the case, and should not be something that is condoned and the only way to show that level of incompetence will not be tolerated, is to take action on those that are not competent and are rules violators that cost the municipality millions. The executive of the police department must be made to pay, because as it stands, they do not care, no money coming out of their pocket or their budget. The days of this nonsense should end and police bad behavior and incompetent policing and police administration must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
