  1. They stated in the very beginning of the video that two adults were home but not in the family room at the time when this occurred. A six-year-old is capable of pulling up a chair or a stool and going into the silverware drawer. I doubt anyone in the family would have ever foreseen this happening.

  2.  @justdiane5  I would think the child would have been taught not to touch/play with the knives, but you're right: He apparently got the idea from somewhere!
