  1. ryan Oberoi they do hold frank opinions though. Whether or not they say out loud those opinions is another matter. This is different from people in Singapore or China where they are held back by fear of the ruling authoritarian regime or poisoned in their minds by religious pastors so they only say poisoned remarks like "Islam is against Jesus/the Chinese state" or "gays are immoral" etc. Japanese on the other hand are unapologetic about not giving two fs about your religion or sexual orientation.
