  1. Exactly right. At 40 a woman should have grown or nearly grown children and a husband only a few years older. At 60 you should have several grandchildren. Those of us who missed the boat (in my case we could not conceive) mostly just have ourselves to blame. And although we could not have children I at least have a partner of many years to grow old with.
