  3. I have three very very close friends and one of us got alzheimers and we watched him slowly disintegrate. Yes this had a big emotional cost on us and we have spoken about it among ourselves. Men are very capable of showing emotion and we do support one another. Women, on the other hand have a lot of friends who are really more like a school of hungry sharks, they swim around looking for one to show weakness then they tear her apart.
