  1. That socialist society you described would plunge birth rates down even further. One thing that people who look at birth rates do not understand is that it has a direct relationship to the rise of cities and fewer people living in rural or small towns. The type of structure has little to do with things. But traditional and religious values do. And often those are lost when more and more of the people reside in large cities.
