I worked at a company that required loading 60 lb sacks all day. We had some women try to force their way into the company so the owner changed the compensation to minimum wage plus piecework for every sack loaded, as well as turning pipes (another hard job). That seemed to do the trick, we all were making slightly more than we were before and none of the women could last.
