The 2007 Frontier looks way better. Not some much plastic like the "current" one. Not sure why you would buy a "new" 14 year old car that has 14 year old crazy standards which were poor at best. But hey let's give it more power..
2
Saying something is better looking than the current Civic is a very low bar. Everything looks better than the Civic. Personally i find the VW Golf to be more luxurious in the inside than this tarted up Civic. Acura has SUVs, after that it's very horrible
2
Women and confused men will love this TuRD. This thing is ready to take on the Wrangler...
2
Reasons to buy a Japanese sports cars are it's reliability and visibility. The Supra has neither. I don't get the appear of a BMW with a Supra badge. I would just pick the Shelby GT350 over both of these or get the 4.0 GTS
2
No. Its all about production numbers
2
Get the 2L Turbo Accord to compare to the new TLX. Or compare an Avalon to the ES350. That would be a more interesting comparisons
2
Ford needs to fix the GT's manual gearbox so bad, it's a shame it feels broken from the factory. The new V8 is bliss though
2
No V8, terrible gauge cluster, halogen headlights without options, shiney black plastic everywhere inside, and$80k to start. Yeah the price is the problem. Either make it an $80k car or lower the price. Also the engine sounds so poor
2
Blue Lane Frontier just no
2
Yeah then try to turn in a corner and that holy cow goes to shit as you plow into a pole.
2
Wish they would have given this the NA 6.2L V8 for a proper send off. Would have made this an instant classic. Interior is garbage Chevy but that's Cadillac for you. Missed opportunity by Cadillac by not offering a V8 on this which would have instantly made it best in class. The V6 Turbo engine is serviceable and the handling is class leading if not the best. I feel so mixed on this car as its really just missing an engine as its one of the best driving sedans I've driven. I prefer the size to the large CT5 V BW
2
This would have been nice 5 years ago, but not now. If you are going to be this late to the DR market it better be good and this Mini/BMW is not. Interior looks like crap. Hard touch plastics everywhere. 4,000 pounds Mini with less range is not progression. This is a step backwards
2
Acura sponsored content right here
2
Amazing inside but that CVT has me passing. Also a very ugly exterior. Reminds me of an old Toyota something outside.. Mazda 6, Honda Accord 2L Turbo, and Toyota Camry are still top of class in my opinion.
2
Its an automatic only BMW Z4 for $50k. Nothing Toyota and nothing Supra about it. Not interested
2
How much does that solid panel weigh and is it's warranty the same as the restrain warranty? The drag coefficiencey is very impress at .24
2
So ugly! The one issue the Camry and Avalon have is getting power cut due to overwhelming the front wheels. Glad to see TuRD did absolutely nothing to address this major issue. LSD is all this needs. To bad
2
What some depressing, bland vehicles. There are no winners here
2
I do think a better scale would be custom ones for Trucks, SUVs, cars. Desirability of cars in general is down so that category will be scewd. Does the Civic Type R which still has dealer Mark ups get determined into the affordability category? I love the idea but maybe just a few tweaks.
2
Weight, complexity, cost. Take your pick
2
Still an overweight pig and now it costs way more. Needed to loose atleast 300lbs to be interesting. BMW GTS/ Porsche GT series shows you how a track car should be done. 2020 and no Apple carplay or Android auto is just hilarious
2
Cost cutting garbage vehicle. Worst in class
2
Curious why you didn't buy a used GT4 which sounds so much better? Will never get behind a four cylinder fart machine in a Porsche
2
Just buy the first RWD trim that has a lsd and you are good👍No need for awd and more weight. I wish we got the sports exhaust that Kia offers in the Australian market for this car. It's variable and mean sounding
2
I dont understand how Kia keeps making the 2L Turbo so slow. It should be potent and was when it debut on the first gen but now the NA 2.4L is alsmost just as fast. very strange
2
Most importantly, for the 2021 model A reduced there warranty back to nothing special. Best of luck with your VW
2
Buzz you girlfriend, woof. These 3 row made 2 rows are so lame. Easily one of the worst segments. I hate the Trailblazer but the Trailblazer looks so much better than this lump. Not sure how you think outlining a fake exhaust outlet in chrome looks better than no chrome. Give us the Touareg instead of this Golf based eco box
2
Needs a lsd to be competitive and sadly Hyundai/Kia keep cutting corners on the 1.6T fwd combination and only offering with an open diff here in North America. Im just happy the Civic SI and Jetta GLI still offer a mechanical lsd and can put the power down properly
2
I actually think power/acceleration has very little to do with it. I think handling and nimbleness are what defines a hot hatch and its affordable price. This is why something like an A45 S just seemed like a different category (hyper hatch?).
2
I really like the car but the price has gotten too high. I don't understand why this is so expensive for the V6TT. Not a fan of the wheels designs at all. The 2.5T engine is nice but for how heavy the car is, the V6TT never felt overpowering and about the right amount of power. Wish the could cut 200lbs off the weight to match the G70 curb weight. You talk about the Germans but don't mention the G70 as competition
2
Morris Pontifect you drove it?
2
Love the hinest take here. Very refreshing to hear the truth from a reviewer. Its Terribly slow, cvt whine, no cargo space, industries worst user interface, limited to 45mph AWD system, and cheap plastic cladding everywhere. Not up to a luxury car standard in anyway. Terrible vehicle for $42k. With the 2L Turbo it would completely transform this car into something interesting. Shame
2
Why would thus be on your list? It's terrible
2
When that plastic cladding starts fading out because of the sun this thing is gonna look like shit. Would not want this long term
2
Love these wheels 😍
2
The interior on this is better than the Cadilac CT5 revealed. So impressed by Hyundai in this Sonata.
2
The glare from the Camry shiney plastic dash is terrible. In Sun it will blind the driver.
2
Love the egine but hate the car and haladex AWD. Wished the engine would be longitudinal mounted. Even a manual option would be greatly appreciated on this. Really could have been the enthusiasts choice if rwd bias but instead its a plow. As is, it's a very expensive golf with an amazing engine.
2
Lexus is a lost cause right now. Shame as they were so impressive. This is coming from a former SC300 and the og IS300 manual with a 2JZ engine.
2
This car does nothing better than the RWD based Kia Stinger and its 365hp V6TT. Also BE just reduced there warranty coverage period due to costs being prohibitively expensive. Speaks volumes to how little faith VW has even in its own garbage products.
2
Would not touch thus. CVT garbage and say underpowered. All looks and no substance. The older competition is much better at driving. C&D quoted a 0 to 60mph time of 9.1 seconds and that is a lifetime.
2
DriveAndBeDriven if you define exciting as cheap junk, you nailed it. Drum brakes is inexcusable if you have half a brain
2
CLS is RWD based. Huge difference. That's like saying a Mini Cooper is a BMW 3 series
2
Crazy expensive. Love the V8, not the price though. Even after taking off the 6k for the widebody flares. Surprised by how much this costs given its age
2
Nissan is the definition of cost cutting. Everything is to a price point and nothing more. CVT awfulness
2
Maxima looks better in my opinion
2
You really need to get the Kia Stinger involved in these large sedan tests. That would be my choice. I mean $42k for a CVT Nissan when you could get a V6TT RWD Kias Stinger is a no brainer
2
How about we buy anything else instead? Nissan cvts are garbage. Both of these things have drum rear brakes, engines so weak there efficiency is compromised, and headphones for stereo systems. Nissan is for rental fleets for a reason. No one would purposely punish themselves buy buying one of these.
2
I still dont get why people buy this. Genesis GV80 is what I would buy, but i have a soul too so i guess that's the difference with robot Lexus buyers
2
I prefer the Kia much more. The Mazda has that hideous plastic cladding that ruins the looks. 1.6T engine, IRS, and tech in the Seltos is what wins me over. Great engine
