Outstanding job on this Alex. Really nailed the reasons why the Stinger is so impressive and unique. Definitely would take this over a Acura TLX or Toyota Avalon. Interior is beautiful and the the driving dynamics are great. Love that its a proper RWD four door. I wish Genesis would have followed Kia's move in offering the 2.5T engine as a base engine. You can't go wrong with either engine on the Stinger

Great insghts Alex. I always liked the WRX, but I really dislike this new one. Looks ugly and awkward. If I wanted a Crosstrek, I would buy a Crosstrek. A lot of cost cutting seen on this WRX. Hate that you can't get the adaptive suspension with the manual. Performance and CVT should never be in the same sentence together. I think the WRX marketing budget was much larger than the engineering department unfortunately
16
Would not buy anything with drum brakes in the rear or with a Nissan CVT. I'd go Honda Civic for $20k
16
For this class, I'd say the 1.6L turbo equipped Kona is the best in segment followed by the Volvo XC40 as the best in this segment for the luxury end
16
Now that they stripped 2021 VW models of the Dieselgate warranty I would avoid all there products like the plague. They cost cut everywhere and just aren't put together well (North America models). I mean they stopped that extended warranty because they realized how much it is going to cost them. Get a Telluride, Palisade, or even something like a Highlander Hybrid or Mazda CX9 if the third row size isn't a big ordeal. Just so many better options out there
16
I will say, The G/Q50,60 has in my opinion always been the best looking car in class. I still believe they are.
15
You literally copy and paste this response on every Genesis video. It's very obvious who you work for
15
Alot to like here. My Dad bought a 2017 SRT GC new and kept it for only 6 months. Said it was his biggest regret as far as purchasing it. So many issues. Build quality was abysmal. He said that is his last American vehicle after that. Felt really bad as I was the one that advised him to get it. FCA crap. My mom atthesame time got the Cherokee and that thing was in the shop all the time. They actually lemon pawed that one thankfully. Lesson learned. Avoid FCA
15
Genesis/Hyundai biggest weakness in my opinion is its awful dealerships. It's like a 90's GM dealer. I need to take a shower after going in. Fix this!
14
Absolutely love wagons and the E450. Love the neat touches for cargo and the suicide seats in the back. Reminds me of my youth in a Taurus Wagon. Dislike the touch capacitive buttons on the steering wheel and the shiny black plastic on the aheel looks cheap in my opinion. The wood looks great but would be upset the shade doesnt match. Wish there were more affordable options beside Subaru
14
To answer Alex's question at the end, I would shop Mustang, 370Z, Challenger, and 86. I like the visibility and price options in these. The Camaro is automatically disqualified for me sadly because GM designed a car without windows and a tall gauge cluster. I simply can't see out (through pillars and roof line) of the camaro with my torso height
14
The Civic Type R is hideous at best. Definetly not a car ypu want to look at without eye protection. Only 13 year old Honda fan boys drive them. I personally love the size and styling of the GTI and Golf R. Would definelty only get the manual transmission option though as it really brings the entertainment as the DSG is too clinical.
14
I wish Mini/BMW would have less models and use that money to make their core models more reliable. Shame
14
Honestly to me the Acura is amazing especially given the price point. Love the standard torque hectoring, display screens size, and led headlights. A great drive for a vehicle of this size. Would love to see this hybrid drivetrains in the RDX
13
Wish they would put this engine back into the FX
13
Love this car. Elegant inside and out. Tech that works and easy to use. Proper RWD based sedan. Love that interior. Beautiful job. Now just fix the stealership experience Kia. As far as resale, look at how poor Mercedes and BMW resale values are. It happens to all luxury brands regardless. Cadillac wishes it could build a car with this nice of quality with proper fit and finish
13
This is a great idea.
13
The way they decontented the SI and raised the price leaves me cold. Less hp, no heated seats, and no adaptive suspension is a huge miss. The new SI rides so harshly and isn't faster than the normal Civic. For $4k more (generally less given the way Honda dealers markup the SI) Id get the Elantra N which is significantly better in every way and a bargin. My advice is get the Sport hatch Civic for $25k or get the Elantra N for $32k. The Civic is a great car, but the SI trim males no sense to me.
13
The fact that there is nothing luxury about CVTs and FWD kills it in instantly. Fake AWD on this is ridiculous. Add to that no utility and the industries worst user interface with its touchpad and I have no idea what confused person buys this thing. Then there is the fact that this is one of the slowest "luxury" vehicle on sale in the States today. This is a Toyota, not a Lexus. Very dissapointed. XC40 is the choice here
13
I'm not crazy about EVs but I could see myself daily driving an Ioniq 5. Really a great car and love the quick charging rates. A little surprised to not see the Genesis GV70 not make the list especially when compared to a RDX
13
Just get a Fiesta and save $5k. In return you get a more up to date chassis, a better handler, faster, and better fuel efficiency than the Indian built Ecosport
13
ATS is so ancient in this segment. Cadillac should be embarrassed as Buicks have nicer interiors and a he'll of a lot better infotainment
12
This has easily the worst looking wood trim I've ever seen on a model. I've seen fake wood look much better. See Nissan Murano
12
Wow! This is stunning. Genesis is my favorite brand right now. Just keep hitting it out of the park with design and materials. I want one
12
Genesis G70 over this Cadilac. Especially if you wait for the updated G70. Currently you can get an AWD 3.3TT G70 in the upper thirty thousand range without even negotiating. The interior materials and quality are better than the CT4 thing and has more rear seat room.
12
Who are these people asking about the China made Buick Envision? Just no
12
Would love to see a breakdown of this 2.7L 4 cylinder vs Ford's 2.7L V6 ecoboost engine. V6 vs 4 cylinder but same displacements
12
Completely ruins the front for me.
12
Love your reviews. I've seen a bunch of A3 reviews but none mention the fact that the A3 engine is mounted differently than the A4. I find this quite interesting and never gave it thought until you mentioned it. Great facts and fresh perspective. I love learning things. Keep up the great reviews
11
The perfect size car. I wish there where more options in this segment. This is best in seg,ent in my opinion. Looks great as well
11
This car looks so stunning in person with such a presence. Love the wheels and the NA V8. I'd take this over everything in its class except the S Class which is saying a lot in my opinion as it costs literally double of the G90. Alex should not talk about style or what looks good. It's crazy to think this was only a "refresh" and not the best generation. Can't wait to see what they do next when looking at what they did with the G80 interior
11
CVT is not luxury. FWD is not luxury. This exhibits both. The poor AWD system still has front wheel spin. Wouldn't even look at this Nissan junk. Looks great but it's only skin deep. I'd go Mazda CX5 turbo over this
11
Best selling because its the cheapest new offering, not the best offering. I would go GV70 over this RDX all day. I do like the blue paint color though
11
No deal. Overly bland. Now horribly underpowered and poor ride dynamics. No idea Why you would buy this over the better competition
11
Yeah the Mazda 3 looks much nicer than the plastic Tupperware cladded CX30
11
All style, albeit ugly, and no substance. A glorified Mini, for a crazy price. I think the Volvo XC40, is better looking, better performing, and has a cheaper price.
11
Stunning. Sadly needs awd to sell in this brainwashed market. I'd take it over a Lexus AS even for the same price. Just much nicer tech, interior, exterior, lighting, and power delivery. The rear headroom is a worry.
11
Wow that interior is amazing! Love it. Very impressed. Would take this over a Cadillac,, Lexus,or Lincoln all day.
11
no idea why Cadilac never used the metal vents like in this Volvo. Just such a beautiful interior that is simple elegance. Cadilac take note.
10
Alex as always an amazing job! I truly appreciate the detail you get into and always learn something. Great work!
10
I think its important to remember the competitor to beat in this space is Tesla. That is why it is mentioned as a competitor. Alex is very honest. I think you might be a little sensitive or looking for something to dismiss an honest assessment.
10
Fully agree with Alex. I much prefer this more mature look with this gen of Civic. Looks great. I do agree with the honeycomb inside looking like a nightmare to clean.
10
Much better than the Rav4 Hybrid already in my mind. Real awd, faster, better tech, , better braking, ect This would be my pick
10
The saddest news is how bad the 2018 Accord looks. Toyota will definelty out do it in sales
10
I'd argue the Hyundai Pallisade and Kia Telluride blows the XT6 out of the water. GV80 is truly in another class about with Mercedes and BMW. Rwd based platform is never the same as the fwd Traverse platform.
10
Somewhat funny that even Mitsubishi has a better infotainment system interface than Lexus
10
Love what they have done with both the G80 and GV80. Beautiful design inside and out with proper rwd layout. I can't wait for the more affordable G70 update and GV70 coming out in a year or so. I appreciate that Genesis did it right with a rwd platform unlike Lexus, Cadillac, and Acura in this category. I am hoping this offering will challenge the competition to try harder. This GV80 would be my pick in this segment even over the X3 and GLE. Genesis now just needs to focus on making there dealerships like Lexus instead of like Mitsubishi. They need direct sales or better dealership owners.
10
carmelo jose yes, you are so wise and better than everyone
10
This is not a luxury car. When a Kia Sorento does everything betrrer than this, why buy Lexus? Hideous, no tech, malfunctioning info interface, slow, useless back seat, no brakes, ECT. Lexus is not who they use to be.
10
That has to be the worst interior on a $100k + vehicle i have ever seen. I understand most of it's buyers just want the badge, but it looks very dated and cheap inside. I am also very curious on the reliability of the V6TT engine compared to the outgoing V8. Reliability isn't a given on a new engine. Toyota/Lexus fanboys will like it though as they don't shop the competition anyways so ignorance is bliss.
