A primarily FWD, 143hp, and a CVT car just doesn't cut it to wear the Lexus badge. Nothing luxurious about a CVT. Then there is the industries wlrst user interface with that touchpad. The AWD doesn't even work over 40mph is just shameful. Maybe the Lexus lovers will like it but to me there is very little luxury in this CHR

Kia Sportage SX

Yeonhoo Kim see the new CEO. Explains everything
2
Bruno TaTa Kia Sportage SX is a gem. My mom chose it after testing it and loved the speed and handling. Highly underrated with torque vectoring AWD as well
2
Fully agree with your styling comments. I would never look twice at the Type R as it looks like a tuner $10k car for a 16year old. Honda failed so bad on the Type R styling.
2
Its somehow made worse with the license plate. Yikes. The rear isn't any better with that ugly large black slab for the lower part.
2
I think they are nice alternatives to the common look alike 911.
2
Love Mike! Fantastic review. Beast of a vehicle. Very i,impressive
2
Agree
2
Wasn't there a Forester STI here in the states? Meaning three STI tuned vehicles?
2
snazari1994 I'm just sad Nissan is now a French company with dated products that used to be some of the best in the industry
2
No
2
John William needs an LSD badly. Especially for the RWD red sport
2
Vince if you want a more compliant ride, do with the Type R. The one take away I got from The RS was how bumpy the ride was. That said the Focus RS was more fun to drive due to its nice torque. Definelty faster than the Type R but I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor. Test drive both. Very different in my opinion

Ajay Lall and the Ford Edge
2
Does anyone know what the difference is between this and the Navigators engine? Is it all software or are there mechanical differences?
2
@mikem2253 no it's not.
2
Why theydont just give this the power upgde the GTI has is beyond me. No reason to get this more expensive and slower vw. Needs a mechanical LSD like the Civic SI
2
I had the same heel toe problem in all Ford products. I hate it. Was hoping This Was better but as the reviewer pointed out that isn't the case. Love this reviewer! So much better than the PR spokesman Zach
1
Outdoor Layne riiiight because the McLaren 720s wasn't designed for the track and looks identical to the Type R?Honda fan boys are so predictable
1
Why this over a Subaru XV Crosstrek? Subaru has a superior awd system compared to the ancient slip and grip haladex system used in the VW. Is this a better car given the price difference and projected reliability?
1
@motormouthcanada Zac do you know, is this on the same platform/chasis as the prior gen? I think it was called the FM chasis
1
Simon Vuille couldn't agree more
1
cannot defeat stability control completely and no manual. Poser car.
1
Completely agree. David loves everything he drives. He just keeps making excuses for any shirtcomings in his reviews and feels more like a PR for BMW than a reviewer. I miss Zach
1
That chrome on the outside looks so tacky. I also don't get the shifter
1
That color is very complimentary to an otherwise ugly vehicle. It looks good in this color here. This vehicle screams of VW cost cutting on an already unreliable brand. The fact that they had at least a decade to study the competition and then release a dated vehicle is mind blowing. Terrible powertrain with the AWD and very inefficient. Mazda CX9 is the winner to me followed by the Toyota Highlander

this wad a review of android auto
1
So overpriced. I'd take the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat for much less with a better interior and performance
1
@Motormouth Canada would you ever consider putting these QA out as podcasts? Love your intelligent takes on vehicles and would love to listen to these while drving
1
Clearly all Honda fans only drive on the ring. It's slow on the street but that ring time tho.... Honda marketing is laughing its way to the bank on this pos
1
Michael Reitz I agree! Good call! The base does look better. Agree
1
VAspeed3 right but why not have it be good from factory like the Civic SI? I'm sick of excusing Fords cheapness
1
I prefer the more cohesive design of the Juke to this thing. This CHR is very ugly and dated
1
How do the electric cars do in the Canada winter? Same estimated mileage?
1
Carpediem06 not really. It's in between the XV and Forester. Forester is much larger than the Alltrack. Look up the specs
1
Craig Tschirhart no it doesn't. Read
1
Jeff K exactly
1
Ugly now
1
Zack, poor person here. Never had a custom spec paint job from the factory. If you get in a fender bender or need touch up paint what do you do as I imagine you don't get a paint code with it?
1
Motormouth Canada oh I thought a custom paint color was ....custom. I guess good to know
1
Mario Dalla Riva that's almost 3 decades ago.
1
Max Chen well to a degree. Yes. I like him alive and well
1
This segment is really quite awful. The XC40 is nice but only in a pool of slow, fwd based offerings. Will sell well though because "ride height" and women
1
Perfect example of why cars are just overly complicated for no reason. Way too many headaches inspired from daily operation
1
I do feel the omissions of hid /led headlamps is huge and a disappointment
1
Rick Beyers I think it's too big for everyone if they are being honest with themselves
1
Basically rolling your ankle then?
1
BigHeadClan i think people just believe whatever snakeoil Zach is trying to sell them. I agree with you and haffemhad first hand experience with E92 rod bearings
1
flakeu agree so much!
