"A Leftist posing as a Right Winger to deliver a diatribe on Leftists who accidentally self-satirizes The Left in an odd reversal". Oh, The Colbert Report. No thanks.

I've always wanted to ask someone in your position this, and you seem by far the sanest one: How do you feel looking back at these people & wondering why you used to side with them?

That's every Leftist in the current year, even the nonviolent ones...

nods Mmm. Thank you. I sometimes wish I could apologize for other people. I was trapped in the religious right they were against at the time. There's no better red pill than to live alongside the people drinking the Kool Aid without feeling compelled to do it yourself. I saw hypocrisy, unfair bias & people give into delusions. In cults, there are many, but when you walk away- in my experience- you have to walk alone. I support freedom of religion but I can never enter a church again without feeling eyes upon me. Like wolves watching a fallen caribou.

@nunereclipsereborn I wish I could say I did. The first time I saw his bit, my brain said "That's a George W. Bush impression with a bit of something else..."

@nunereclipsereborn Oh yeah, definitely. The thing is, I hated George W. Bush at the time, so a comedy bit based around him left a sour taste in my mouth. I stopped watching Comedy Central because of Colbert. The rest is history; they sold out & Trevor Noah has replaced any hint of comedy with looking nervously concerned about literally everything on the face of the Earth.

@nunereclipsereborn I've made a saying "question the source". I once saw a (probably now deleted) YouTube video comparing Hollywood's support of the Hope & Change campaign to The Borg, "analogous to an insect colony, mindless drones". When someone makes a promise, consider the source. Hillary Clinton, daring to call any normal person a "deplorable", for example...

@nunereclipsereborn Yeah, we're kind of at a point where everybody wants it fixed, nobody agrees on how. Meanwhile, the people who screwed things up in the first place want to make things worse for bizarre obtuse reasons, mostly because they're crazy. I'm not a particularly religious person, but "Wokeness" is very rapidly becoming the new religion to substitute for nobility & merit, championed by people totally devoid of any morality as a vehicle to dominance & power. Perverse & rather pathetic.

@nunereclipsereborn Yeah. Feminists & homosexuals supporting radical Islam. Talk about lambs to the slaughter.
