  4. There is an arthritis shot for dogs. I tried it on Pookie for 2 months. It was bad for him. So we stopped. Yes, these shots just cover up the pain, like a narcotic, but the underlying cause is still there. He could have caused himself more harm by exercising on damaged joints.
