  1. Many people do not realize that it hasn't been that long since Soviet Union was changed. Christianity was not allowed then I don't think. It had been many years under that regime. I'm glad Church got some of their land and buildings back. Now, science dominates in people's minds and hearts, not religion. In US and UK, holidays ARE ALL ABOUT $$$. Too much decorating I think. Many people go overboard with it all. Many people in US start decorating for Christmas at Thanksgiving, late November & they leave decorations up until after New Year.
