Here we eat this potatoes a lot. You might grow them. We often bake them with skin on as it detaches easily from inside and is very easy to remove after potato is baked. We may put oil on the outside and just bake till soft. But there are many, many wsys to cook this vegetable. We often use nutmeg, or cinnamon and sugar with this vegetable and butter. But I have eaten baked sweet potatoes cold even without any seasoning at all. It is sweet and is good without any seasoning. My favorite way to eat it is baked with butter only. In US people even fry them cut small in strips like French fries with small amount of salt perhaps. Again, they are so tasty they need little or no seasoning. Sometimes people boil them and cream them into a souflet or mashed sweet potatoes. I hope you find ways to cook them that you enjoy. Sweet potatoes are very healthy. They are easy to grow in pots too. Since they are expensive in Russia, perhaps you could grow them yourself in pots on your deck. Good luck, I hope you find them tasty.
