  1. One of first brands of tape or adhesive tape strops was Scott Brsnd. As a result, in US we often refer yo tape as scotch tape. That often refers to the cellophane thod used to wrap gifts. But I can understand how all these terms came about. A favorite in USA is Duct tape too.
