  1. I think I understand your sentiment. Many of us are homesick for the clean spirit of pure patriotism and the good heart of victory over Hitler and all he stood for. After WWII in US, life seemed so clear and simple. We see this in Russia now. Everything growing more prosperous as each day passes. In Russia, it seems the Spirit of everyday people are still clean and pure. In US and some other countries, we must try hard to bring this back.

Yes, it is important to remember the past and that we worked together to defeat Hitler and Nazism. * Something odd today: I tried to google: "Victory Day in Russia" and Google would not respond with anything. I tried over and over. I thought this very strange. So I YouTube searched this and there was so much to see. I watched parade and heard leaders and veterans speak. There was even a US Military unit there marching on Red Square for first time in the parade and celebrating victory with Russia over Nazi Germany in WWII. Sadly in US, we are fighting Nazis again. White supremacists are having a comeback here. I pray this is brief. It is very concerning. Our government is established with checks and balances to insure Democracy. I pray it all works out. I hope your Victory Holidays were very nice. Thank you Valeria and Alex for sharing your lives with us. God bless your family...

  3. No idea why Google would not allow this request for me. I tried "Scottish history" and no problem there. But when I YouTube searched same title: "Victory Day in Russia", there was A LOT to learn and see. I enjoy learning about history and different cultures. I'm sure it was just a connection sort of thing...
