  2. It is very beautiful and fun to see accurate details of period dressing. A corset does help keep the back straight, posture good. I agree with your ideas of why so much historical clothing survived. It is good that you have a positive view of how corsetry CAN be beneficial. I have mild scoliosis...I wish I had worn a brace. My posture is not good.
