  1. I'm on outside too. LDS but not. Inactive. Still, much of what brought me to this church are still beliefs that I hold. I'm sure it's different for me because I was a convert. I always knew ETs are real. I've always felt God is an ET. I guess many members think I'm nuts, lol. I too think each person can and should decide about their own gender identity and whom they love. I believe in science....to a point, lol. Much of academia has fallen behind recent discovery in MANY areas. But, for whatever reason, I cannot go back in to that system. That church has changed in past 2 or 3 years... A LOT. But still, too many member are hold outs from before. I don't fit into A patriarchal system.

  2. Catholics have a similar experience when leaving Church. Its a way of life, a culture.
