Leaving is not that easy but they never will be able to come back to the previous state if they ever return, because now we have such multiplicity of choices we had never before, it will be hard concurence unlike noone to battle with like in 90. For example we had mostly belgian and swiss chocolates, now we have chockolates from Spain, Japan, Greece, Madagascare, Germany, Great Britain etc. Plus we opened for ourseves local Russian brands we never knew about, toothpastes, catfoods, furniture, home decore etc. I never knew that we actually produced toothpastes and of such good quality. Not to mention the Chinese rush to take over free opotunities. Yet another few years and Russians won't be buying european brands if they equal to chinese in terms of money and quality, only luxe items will be selling as before, but the percent of rich people buying them is not that high, it's like that in every country.

  2. Recently, the police launched a criminal case against one of the bandits from the 90s. Which monopolized the fishing of crabs and seafood in the Far East and smuggled everything to Japan, South Korea and America. So hopefully there will be a cheap crab and scallops in our stores soon:)

  4.  @ИринаЦарева-д1ъ  не люблю когда мне навыбирают некрасивых яблок или не мягких персиков. Одежду заказываю, а вот продукты точно только лучшие сама себе выбираю. К тому же многие любят походить поразглядывать, потрогать насладиться атмосферой (ну конечно не в пятерочке). Я люблю в твой дом ходить, особенно перед новым годом, там целый лес елочный. и рядом с ним котеджный поселок из барбидомов)

  14. ​ @10klass5  Ikea has a lot of money an reputation it's like a monopoly, ppl often goes there on autopilot just because they know that ikea means furniture. So Russian companies could not compete. The are also Hoff a big russian furniture shop with clever management who made it self independent from the West in 2014, so even during corona it made good. But Russia still have to work on small details, more service control, for example you could have 1 stud less or one stud more in complect which don't happen in ikea.

  15. Pyaterochka is monopolist. Many Russians doesn't like it but they have no chice because Pyaterochka took over all the places for minimarkets. Sometimes there are 6 of them in the same street.
