  1. i generally agree with the guy, but in no way can you explain tucker's bs with him being simply misinformed. pu is in power for 25 years (only slightly behind stalin aside from monarchs), ze is 5 years in war time. ru has a huge oppression system in place to many groups including political, ethnic and yeas, religious too - jehova's witnesses regularly get absurd and completely inhumane prison sentences, like 15-20 years behind bars for basically preaching. then, carlson called ze out for political mourders. now, this is just ridiculous. pu is well known for merdering his political opponents, journalists and all kinds of "enemies of the state", including abroad, like litvinenko or skripals family. the only way to explain tucker's spiels other than with outright malevolence is to invent some theory that he's captured and sending some signals, basically meaning ru instead of ukr and meaning pu instead of ze.

  2. with the nato argument i think kisin should go a bit further. even if for the sake of argument we assume that nato expansion is a provocation for and against ru then still this doesn't make the invasion more justified and it doesn't make it logical. firstly, the nato is an a) voluntary alliance and b) a defensive one. it's not like the nato is expanding to this country or that, it's the other way around - sovereign countries are praying and pleading to be taken in. secondly, the nato is expanding and so what - how is the invasion (once again - completely unlawful) solves anything? the only thing it achieves is you can attack the country before nato, but can not after. so if you follow the logic then the provocation with nato expansion is with prohibiting ru from attacking its neighbors, THAT is the damage and the threat.
