  1. i think it's much more important to know proper target vit d levels instead of blanket dosages. let's say my d level is around 100 whatever units (which is true btw) and i take X iu daily. and let's assume someone comes with a study that shows one sould take 5Xiu/d. so, if 100 blood level is in fact is in upper part of the desirable range then does this study make any sense for me and my case specifically? doesn't seem so. however, on the other hand, if someone comes up with a study that shows that blood vit d level should be 300-500 istead of 50-100 that's a totally different story - you can actually act on it.
