  1. linear construction is the dumbest thing possible. firstly it's just horrible logistics. if it was a circle or a rectangle then everything would be much closer AND all the routes (between let's say 100 random points) would go through different parts of town. when it is linear, every route goes through the center making it extremely overcrowded. secondly, linear 150km city has 300km of walls while the same size square one has only 50km of wall. 6-fold differens, wtf.
