  1. she lives with her mother because her mother's house is extremely oversized for her alone. in europe it's considered pretty normal for a family of 4 to live in a 130 suqare meters (around *10 for sq feet), it's not huge by any means but it is decent and adequate. now her mother's house is what - 2000-3000 square feet? and so is the newely constructed houses. no wonder you can't afford a house that is 2-3 times too big for you. for a girl and her boyfriend it's more than enough to live in a 800 sq feet one bedroom one bathroom house that won't be worth 600 grand as a 6 bedroom abomination.
