if your degree's worth a damn knowledge and skills wise then try selling it directly to people. for example try tutoring physics or math to high schoolers or english to foreigners. there's a huge market and demand for things like this. it's relatively easy to get in, to get paid right away decently compared to very low skill jobs, you can easily improve in free time, you can work from home saving time and money of transportation/commutes and food, you get feedback right away, you can scale to more students, more disciplines and to higher hourly rate as you get more confident in you skill and in your financial standing and also as you get more reviews.
