  1. the visa system shouldn't be a corpo tool to bring in indentured servitors to work 60 hour weeks for half the wage without the ability to ever leave the job/company without their visa being revoked. what the economy needs is well educated experienced and hard working individuals. so put that on the requirements, but then let them do their spiel on the free market. believe you me, a person with masters degree and 5 years of experience won't be leaving their 2nd world country with 20-30g salary to move across the world to hobo under a bridge in la. check their education, verify their working experience, demand stellar english skillz, but then leave them be. they'll either find a job, reeducate themselves on the spot or create the job for themselves and possibly even others. and i'm not talking about deves and programmers. proper engineers, doctors and so on - you need these people, period. they'll push your country forward. and you don't even need the upper limit - the more the merrier.
