This is lazy of me but if you could compare pre-war Russian and German military doctrine with U.S. air-land battle that would be interesting. Both Germany and the USSR had theories of mobile warfare but they were somewhat different. Comparison of German elastic defence versus Russian defence in depth would also be good.
