  1. The people who take this view generally do so in order to discredit contemporary social democracy. While it is certainly true that NS Was socialism it must also be understood Why. Why have an entire economy organized around expropriation and redistribution to workers? Why, to reward and motivate them to fight and die in the imperialist war of course! Contemporary imperialism also does this, but less consequently, less brutally, and less effectively. Social democratic redistribution of looted third world wealth absolutely is used to motivate workers to fight for the war machine. I think the answer is to rely on private efforts rather than the state to alleviate poverty, which is a dissatisfactory answer but it's all I've got for you.
