You will enjoy the Kubinka museum very much. But the Lenin museum would be more important for your work: thing is... you only get invited there (and I did!) if the regime in Russia actually trusts you. This doesn't mean you must be somehow compromised but don't expect to get to go there if you spout anti-Russian nonsense. It's less secure than the Vatican or CIA library but not just anyone gets to waltz on in there as there are some archives there which are considered sensitive / state secrets. There's a really vital story about Russia in this video which can be ethically told here without compromising liberal principles or the idea of the rule of law. Good luck. KUBIIIIIIIINKAAAAAAAAAAA!

I don't disagree with your findings, which are however counterintuitive. What I am looking for then is an explanation of the evolution of Soviet artillery from (if I understand you) utterly inadequate to the mass force which won battle after battle (and which remains the backbone of Russia's army btw). Soviet/Russian artillery doctrine is superior to the West. How and why did that come to be? Also, Why was early Soviet artillery inadequate; we know the USSR had easily 3 to 1 superiority to the nazis in tanks. Why was there no similar disparity in artillery? Is that the result of the purges, or is there some other explanation? Note that while Russian AT arty was quite effective the real heavy hitters were the indirect fire weapons.

I don't think he has and I know he doesn't speak Russian YET He plans to learn Russian and so will inevitably wind up in the Lenin library in Moscow and Kubinka tank museum... ONE DAY.
