  1. You seem to latch onto one overarching counterintuitive proposition and pursue it relentlessly without adequate regard to facts. Why? Even if Hitler won Stalingrad USSR resistance would not cease. First, lend lease would have continued. Second, look at occupied Russia, where partisan warfare continued to rage. Fuel shortages were a serious issue but not so serious as you make them out to be. You don't take into account Hitler's racism; Britons were fellow aryans to be wooed. Slavs were slaves to be exterminated. Leningrad must be starved. Stalingrad must be burned. Moscow must be Nuked. Soviet resistance consequently would never cease, and Dunkirk is rightly seen as mercy in search of a peace overture. Which never came. Because Britain wasn't nearly as racist as Hitler was.
