Russia can't make meaningful gains against a country that is fighting with our RESERVE/OLD/SURPLUS GEAR.   29. It's a weird tradition thing. In a formal context, it is expected that you refer to people by the highest title that person has held at any point--past or present. It's why you see veterans referred to by their ranks, even though they are no longer serving the military. It's a matter of respect! Now, while I think Donald Trump isn't worthy of any respect, disrespecting him at the beginning of the video would probably turn away a lot of the people Ryan is trying to convince.
