NYYYEEEEH IM A 90S KID

I love how conservatives whine and complain about "Snowflakes" but then flex their victim complex when someone stands outside of a politician's house.

Republican representatives from states directly affected by Helene voted no to funding FEMA, before AND AFTER Helene hit. But yeah it's all Bidens fault sure buddy

The bill also gave president Trump a ~$4 billion blank check to give whatever to whichever company he chose and he was not require to disclose any information about it until at least six months after its passing. If we're going to do Coronavirus relief, we need to do it right or not at all.

Republicans successfully stopped a bill that would give FEMA funding before Helene hit. And even after it hit, Republican lawmakers (SOME FROM STATES DIRECTLY AFFECTED) still voted against more funding. Mike Johnson thinks FEMA has all the money it needs. Do you agree?

Well Biden has given North Carolina roughly $100 million in funding, and has also provided more than $20 million to survivors directly. Meanwhile, Mike Johnson thinks that FEMA doesn't need anymore funding. But no yeah just pray to the billionaires and maybe they'll save you when your house is underwater.

Anyone who looks at your account for more than five seconds knows you aren't a real person. And anyone who looks at Google for more than five seconds knows that Biden(/Harris) have done everything in their power to send aid to affected communities, even though the GOP consistently votes against funding FEMA.

That money is to be used to feed and clothe someone in the immediate aftermath. That is not the end of government assistance they'll receive, unless GOP lawmakers continue to vote against funding for FEMA. And before you flatly deny that's the case, use your search engine.

Tacitus_kilgore_1903 No they don't, dumbass. They can walk up to the FEMA tent and be given $750 with no questions asked (probably aside from making sure that one family isn't getting multiple sums of $750).
1
Tacitus_kilgore_1903 You said they "HAVE" to apply online. I understand that the issue is more nuanced than there being "a FEMA tent on every corner", but you're making it sound like it's impossible for people to get help, when that's not the case. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, but you made it sound like the government is intentionally making it difficult for people to receive aid.

@DavidSharp-lb1hv Oh look someone who is factually wrong. The "average American family" spends about 800$ on food EVERY MONTH (not week). And that includes luxury food items that aren't essential to survival, being bought in communities with higher costs of living than the rural Appalachian areas affected by the storm. $750 is more than enough to clothe and feed a family of 4 until their other needs (and compensation) can be properly assessed. Not that I'm opposed to giving families more than $750 to start things off, but FEMA can only do so much when Republicans are trying to stop them from receiving more funding.

@acdover I mean I said something, and you said "nuh-uh" to that, so I'm just gonna "nuh-uh" you right back. Engaging stuff!
