@Sonjin3592 No, this is conservatives, not men. By accusing "men" of this behavior, you are reinforcing their misogyny and perpetuating their distrust of leftists. Stop.

@OneFingerYT Because they died in an air crash. This language is always used to describe victims of an air crash, even if pilot(s) are ultimately found responsible. They're still victims of their own mistakes, and it's still a tragedy.

Can I have some of whatever you smoked before watching this? If the gender of the pilots is the only thing you paid attention to in this video, you clearly weren't paying attention at all.

@Mike_Baldwin A woman is a person that identifies as a woman. (Like, actually identifies as a woman, not just saying they're a woman as a joke.)

It's a tragedy that cost two pilots their lives. Maybe stop politicizing it for literally zero reason?

@Xyz46786 Gender is about your identity and how you present yourself in society, whereas Sex is about your biology (not necessarily just your chromosomes, because there are so many exceptions to the rule here). We need two different words to describe these concepts, because one describes a social construct, and the other describes human biology. They're certainly related to each other (less than 1% of the population is trans), but sometimes people identify with a different gender than the one that relates their sexual characteristics.

@bernieeod57 Apparently your research sucks, because her name was "Kara Hultgreen". You have literally no excuse to not know this when you have access to a search engine. Important to note, Francesco "Paco" Chierici (Hultgreen's peer), said that, "[Hultgreen's] squadron's executive officer crashed in a flight simulator 97 percent of the time when faced with similar problems." I think anyone with a brainstem can admit that sexism was a lot more prevalent back then than it is today, and the F-14A was NOTORIOUS for compressor stalling if you so much as looked at it wrong.

@Mike_Baldwin The fact that you had a bad experience in a city that is widely regarded to be one of the nicest places to live in the US says a lot more about how miserable you are than how bad the city is. Or maybe you're just shit-talking Pittsburgh because you don't have anything substantive to say about Gender Theory.

@J4sse Activated as in, like, ejected from the aircraft. I forget if OP is actually right, but if he is, this does suggest that they lost situational awareness and the mountain just came up on them.

@robpeterslaypaul I don't understand. Are you saying this about Kara Hultgreen? I'm specifically talking about this case because the goober I replied to brought it up.
1
@Charlee1224 It's not an airtight system, though. Especially in a foggy environment with rapidly-changing elevation.

As far as I could find, the only gender-differentiated standards the Air Force has are grooming standards. With everything else (as far as I could find), every member of the Air Force has to meet the same performance standards. The Army and Marines have gender-differentiated physical standards (which I don't necessarily agree with), but I know the Marines are moving to gender-neutral standards. TLDR please stop whining about DEI. You don't see people foaming at the mouth when men crash planes.

@thekp503 I hope comments like these are just jokes and I've just fallen off the deep end and lost my ability to recognize irony

Two pilots die in an air crash, and all you people can talk about is how they're women. For the longest time, I was under the impression that conservatives actually cared about the people in our military, but I guess I was wrong.
