As a gay person, it really takes the wind out of my sails when I scroll into a comment section on a video about gay people, and the only thing I see are mean-spirited comments about how gay people are a threat to western society. I like meaningful discussion, and I think more of it should be had. But often times, it's just people saying mean things to be mean. That's why those comment sections get disabled.

There are some gay people who are mean just because they are mean, but that isn't unique to gay people. You might have gay people being uniquely mean to you, but that probably only happens after you accuse them of being a part of a mafia because of their orientation. Again, can you give me a substantive example of gay people being a "mafia", or are you just upset that there's a social stigma around open homophobia now?

While, "data collected by the U.S. EPA, Norfolk Southern, and independent scientists have indicated the air is safe," the unnecessary burn did significant damage to the environment, all because, "Norfolk Southern considered profit more than safety." East Palestine is a story of a profit-obsessed company ruining a small town and its local ecosystem. Once again, I direct you to a Wikipedia article. Challenge the positions that have been dictated to you by the media you consume, and check my sources.
