@befeleme That's weird. It's almost like China is trying to distract the west by sending their most loyal lapdog to start a forever war in an Eastern European country. But I'm just a cat! What do I know!

Steel is steel, no matter where it comes from. And rusty steel is rusty steel all the same. The difference is that we didn't collapse and have a devastating economic crisis in the 1990s. Russia did. And you describing this war as a "killing spree" is pretty spot on, since Russia has been regularly attacking and killing civilian targets. The confirmed minimum at this time is roughly around 30,000 civilian casualties, with just under 10,000 confirmed dead. The problem with this number, is that it only really covers losses on the Ukrainian side of the front lines. We have no way of knowing just how many lives have been lost under Russian occupation, but travesties like Bucha and the scale of destruction in cities like Mariupol do not paint a good picture. Why, though? Why do you believe Russia to be in the right here? You are clearly a real person with real experiences that inform your understanding of this war, so what are they?
1
At least you're fighting fire with fire. "John Doe" really? Is this account supposed to look like a bot?
1
What European citizens have been financially affected by their government as a result of its sending aid to Ukraine? No, seriously, please give me one example! And no, you're Greek. You were broke long before the war started in 2014, so your family doesn't count.
1
I love how objectively false this is. You do realize Russia is still losing ground in Ukraine, right? They have yet to walk across the muddy fields of Zaporizhzhia, let alone through the absolute gauntlet that is Poland. Unless you somehow think that Ukraine possesses and has depleted all of the materiel in Europe?
1
@nightowlorder2750 America and Europe, or alarmist American and European journos begging for your clicks so they can make ad revenue off of your anger?
1
@conservative6759 From the very first page of Google's "News" section when you search "Zaporizhzhia"; the very first sentence you see in the article: "On October 27, 2023, Russian troops attacked 21 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region 156 times." Whether those numbers are exactly precise is irrelevant here. Clearly there is fighting still going on in Zaporizhzhia, so how about you search Google before you say dumb shit on the internet.
1
@nightowlorder2750 Anger, shock, name a knee-jerk emotion. If they can exploit it for clicks, they will. This is a clickbait problem with journos on the internet, not an actual logistics problem with Europe or America
1
Musk doesn't actually believe in anything except money. It's a good thing for Russia, then, that the only way Elon can stop himself from going completely bankrupt is by virtue signalling to the right on the internet. Because nothing shows neutrality quite like giving stuff to one of the countries trying to destroy your society. But then again, when has a capitalist ever cared about the society that built them?
1
Can somebody explain to you that 70,000 is smaller than 36,000,000?
1
Do you even know what a proxy war is? Ukraine is fighting a defensive war against a Russian invasion, and western countries are helping because they know that they'll be next if Ukraine falls.
1
LMAO WHAT??? Where did you get 350k you unhinged lunatic??
1
The nazis with the Jewish president, yeah!
1
Good meme, but he can barely handle Ukraine at the moment. I sincerely doubt he wants to lose another war with Finland and start a nuclear war with the US.
1
What lesson did we learn, exactly?
1
No, it's pro-Russia. Your country is ungrateful for the fact that it's surrounded by nations that stand between it and the boot of Russian occupation. Do you think they'll stop in Ukraine? Consider yourself lucky to be a part of NATO, because if you weren't, you'd be completely defenseless both politically and militarily.
1
Because capitalist assholes will always be looking for a quick buck instead of caring about the well-being of their society.
1
Just like they prevailed in their late-October assault on Avdiivka? Wait no they lost 3 battalions of mechanized infantry. That's a brigade.
1
I encourage you to Google "Russian losses in Avdiivka". It's a pretty good example of what a Russian Victory looks like!
1
Ah yes. Of course Zelensky--a Jew--would sell his weapons to bloodthirsty terrorists whose whole MO is killing Jews, instead of trying to save his homeland from Russian invasion. Dude just take one step back and think about what you're about to say before you say it.
1
This is just so completely unhinged, especially after we all witnessed what happened in Bucha. You don't think for a moment that people who aren't "ethnic Russians" aren't going to be treated like those in the mass graves in Bucha? And this "ethnic Russians" bullshit needs to stop. Ukraine is not like Soviet Russia. If you are an ethnic Russian who wants to move to Russia, the border is right there and no one is stopping you. Go home if Ukraine isn't what you'd hoped.
1
Could it be that the country is being actively invaded by an oppressive authoritarian regime that the people want absolutely nothing to do with? Imagine having a cognitive bias so strong that you'd be willing to assert that Ukraine is oppressing its people before you'd be willing to accept that, maybe--just MAYBE--the people of Ukraine don't want to be occupied by Russia?
1
Brother, Hindustan Times is not a reputable source. Europe and the US are still sending plenty of aid to Ukraine and not allowing China's strongest client state to travel another inch westward.
1
Who's "we" you clown? You mean the greatest logistical power on the planet? You realize we can just make more, right? The $75 Billion we've (the US, alone) sent to Ukraine is less than 10% of our military budget for 2023. Less than 10% of the money we spend on our military to wipe out half of our enemy's army without a single American soldier stepping foot in Ukraine. And no one is forcing Ukraine to keep up this fight, by the way. The war goes on their terms, and they can call for peace whenever they please. But I have the distinct impression that a lot of Ukrainians would rather die than live under the boot of Russian occupation.
1
I would also agree that Putin is a corrupt politician waging a war against the innocent citizens of Ukraine, and I also agree that he should be arrested by the ICC and tried for crimes against humanity (namely kidnapping Ukrainian children and indoctrinating them, displacing Ukrainians and replacing them with Russians (settler colonialism), and actively aiming for and striking civilian targets)!
1
Oh you mean the kidnapping of Ukrainian children so they can be taken back to Russia to be indoctrinated? That thing the International Criminal Court put out a warrant for Putin's arrest for? Oh, they generously repatriated FOUR of the THOUSANDS of children they've taken from Ukraine. How could you possibly justify that? It'd be like us kidnapping Afghani children and then flying them all the way back to the US (instead of, oh I dunno, trying to find their parents in their home country?).
1
Oh wow what a surprise. You're account was made less than a year ago and it has absolutely nothing on it. No videos, no playlists, no "about me", nothing. Color me completely SHOCKED that only a bot account could attempt to justify KIDNAPPING CHILDREN.
1
Yeah maybe Slovakia because they just elected a populist lmao. Oh no! What will Ukraine do without the vast logistical heft of Slovakia!
1
Well mostly because the rebellion in the east was started, funded, and perpetuated by the Russian government. Directly so, in fact.
1
What? Estimates say that only about 70,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died, a tenth of that insane figure you're alleging. Oh wait, your account was created last summer, you have a generic name second only to "John Smith", your channel doesn't have any content on it whatsoever, and you're pushing Russian propaganda talking points. Hmmm... sounds a lot like a Russian bot!
1
Nope! It was actually journalists on the internet who craft catchy and deceitful clickbait to generate more ad revenue. If I were you, I'd pay more attention to independent creators on YouTube who don't make their income primarily off of journalism, but instead off of a profession in a field relevant to this issue. For example, Ryan McBeth makes a living doing cyber-security stuff, and previously served in the US military. He has "insider knowledge" so to speak, but doesn't depend on expanding his online brand (by, for example, making clickbait-y and deceptive videos/articles) to feed himself.
1
No there's quite a few questions about that, actually. Number one, the Russian economy is dying (and will not recover immediately after the war ends, whenever it does). So uh, good luck building all that cutting-edge tech to try and counter the most well-funded military in the world. Number two, the reason Russia has been able to make any ground in this war is because the air is still contested. I'd LOVE to see Russia fight an air war against the strongest air force on the planet, and see who can't leave their airfields after the first week. If Russia cannot defeat an already war-tattered regional power after two years of fighting when they had their entire army and all of their vehicles, there's absolutely no way they could even hope to fight off the combined power of all of NATO with HALF of what they had two years ago.
1
No videos on channel, account is barely 3 years old. Hmmm... sounds a little... robotic....
1
One, Ukraine is fighting a defensive war against Russian aggressors. Two, the "other countries" are investing in Ukraine because it's the safest way they can guarantee their own security from a state who has a demonstrable history of swallowing its neighbors whole. Especially if those neighbors have even the slightest hint of "ethnic Russians" in their borders.
1
Where do you people keep getting these insane numbers? The TOTAL casualties (injured + killed) has barely reached 500,000 yet.
1
That's what happened in Avdiivka right? Wait no, can you remind me who lost 3 battalions of mechanized infantry in Avdiivka?
1
@michelleburkholder2547 Could it be maybe that this indian news source is incredibly biased? Especially since Europe hasn't stopped sending aid to Ukraine? Unless the entire vast continent of Europe is ruled by Slovakian Empire??
1
Pretty sure that's just greedy rich people in general. Though honestly I wouldn't be shocked if Elon came out and said some crazy shit about Gazans
