A police investigation is ongoing following a report of a collision involving a car and a number of pedestrians in De Montfort Street, Leicester, during the early hours of this morning (31 May). Police were called to the area at 12.34am. From our initial enquiries, the incident is reported to have happened following a report of a fight at the same location. Four people – two men and two women – have been injured in the collision. One man had minor injuries. All remain in hospital, three people with serious injuries. A 31-year-old man, from Leicester, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and causing serious injury by dangerous driving following the collision. He remains in police custody where he is being questioned by detectives.
